Role: Commercial Finance Analyst
Salary: Up to £45,000
Tenure: 12m Fixed Term Contract (Mat Leave Cover)
Location: South Manchester / Hybrid 2 days office / 3 days WFH

Talent Accountancy & Finance are now on the hunt for a highly Commercial Finance Analyst on a 12m FTC (mat leave cover) to join a well-established retail brand as they continue to grow and dominate in their sector.
The package for this role is a salary up to £45k DOE.
With this being a 12m FTC the idea is this person can make an instant impact so the requirement is experience in majority of tasks listed below & needs to be qualified (or if part qual in the final stages of exams).
Its a hybrid role (2 in / 3 at home) offering plenty of autonomy to really make an impact with a supportive team around you to bounce ideas off.

The Role
Key responsibilities:
- Weekly sales reporting including analysis on margins, commenting on trends, KPIs along with actionable steps to improve performance
- Provide insight on margin and stock reporting taking full responsibility & ownership for these reports. Designing and improving to meet the needs of stakeholders/users of reports
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand where you can add value from a commercial Finance standpoint to aid in decision making
- Work towards monthly reporting deadlines with wider Finance teams ensuring accurate delivery of sales and margin figures
- Identify underperforming areas of the business and work closely with team leads to understands causes and put plans in place to mitigate
- Assist with budget and forecast process
- Perform SWOT analysis on your business area to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities & threats
- Ad hoc support with Audit queries relating to your areas
The Person
This is a great role for someone who enjoys interpreting a businesss financial performance and really understanding the story behind the numbers.
Someone pro-active & inquisitive thats happy to work across departments to understand impacts of both internal and external influences on financial results.
Were looking for someone:
- Part Qual or Newly Qual CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
- Has experience in a Commercial Finance role, ideally with multi-site experience. Whether that be a previous Finance Analyst, Commercial Finance Analyst, Management Accountant position
- Competent on excel sumifs, graphs, pivot tables etc
