Resourcery Group are working with a leading manufacturing company based in the South Manchester region to bring on board a Finance Manager for a 6 month period. Our client is going through an exciting period of change following recent acquisitions. Due to ongoing internal projects supporting this change, they are require an experienced Finance Manager with a strong financial accounting background to join the team. This is a hybrid role with 3 days per week on site and 2 WFH.Â
The Finance Manager’s role:
- Preparation of the annual statutory accounts, including the collection of information from the wider business
- Management of the annual corporation tax pack, submitting the initial information request to their outsourced tax advisors and resolving any queries raised
- Review and submission of the quarterly VAT returns, and first point of contact for tax queries
- Manage the month end close, including the drafting of the management accounts to be delivered to the Financial Controller
- Manage the monthly balance sheet reconciliations and implement a new balance sheet review meeting with the Financial Controller
- Support transition to a new country wide Financial Accounting team, in place of the existing legal entity specific one
The ideal candidate:
- A fully qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA or potentially QBE with significant experience
- Be able to commit to 3 days per week in the office
- Have strong financial accounting skills
- Experienced in working with larger sized companies
- Have strong communication skills and be able to work as part of a wider finance team
