Our client is a Cheshire based, award-winning, independent Chartered Financial Planning firm and they are looking to appoint a Best Practice Associate due to continued growth. They offer an amazing set of company benefits in addition to a competitive salary.

Role Overview:

As a Best Practice Associate, you will be responsible for helping drive excellence for both clients and team members. This is a varied role where you’ll ensure that financial advice adheres to the highest standards of compliance and delivers excellent outcomes for clients. You will also collaborate with internal teams to improve service quality, challenge policies where necessary, and support the continuous development of the Best Practice culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct file and annual reviews to ensure the suitability of advice and adherence to regulatory standards.

  • Review financial promotions (website, blogs, articles) for clarity, fairness, accuracy, and compliance.

  • Handle complaints in accordance with regulatory guidelines and internal procedures.

  • Collaborate with Financial Planners and Client Managers to provide advice that meets clients' objectives and circumstances.

  • Work with all areas of the business to embed the culture of Best Practice, Consumer Duty, and Treating Customers Fairly.

  • Assist in the development and review of internal policies, procedures, and regulatory documentation.

  • Challenge existing policies and procedures to improve outcomes and efficiencies.

  • Ensure all data is inputted and maintained accurately within agreed timelines.

  • Participate in relevant projects and support ad hoc tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • A Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) ;.

  • Desirable to have a Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Level 6 Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent

  • Proven experience within a financial planning or compliance role, ideally with a focus on Best Practice and regulatory standards.

  • Excellent attention to detail and experience with compliance and regulatory frameworks.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across departments.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines.

  • A proactive and solutions-oriented approach to challenges.
