Eventus Recruitment Cheshire are seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join a successful Financial Planning business based in Wilmslow, Cheshire. This is a great job opportunity to join an established and successful firm with big growth plans. Role responsibilities

The role is to support the Financial Planners in providing, implementing and reviewing strategies and advice to clients. This will include monitoring and reporting to clients in respect of various types of financial products.

Other duties within this Paraplanner job will include:

  • Supporting Consultants in preparing accurate financial plans and suitability reports.
  • Attending client meetings with Advisers.
  • Supporting the Advisers in research and analysis to meet client needs and objectives.
  • Having a full understanding of Holistic Financial Planning (Lifestyle Planning),
  • Dealing with all aspects of advice, such as Inheritance Tax Planning and Trusts etc…
  • Developing and maintaining internal relationships with various areas of the business to meet agreed targets.
  • Continuous professional development to meet regulatory requirements and personal development needs.
  • Managing individual workflow and delivery.
  • Ensuring that any business conducted is done in a responsible and compliant manner.
  • Meeting all legislative requirements, both internally and externally.
  • Providing technical guidance to the Client Services Team (CST), assisting with product specific, technical and compliance-based queries.
  • Working with CST to ensure advice is implemented accurately and compliantly.
Person specification

The incoming Paraplanner will have the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • Excellent understanding of the financial planning process.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Experience of cashflow forecasting.
  • Confident and credible when attending client meetings.
  • Proficient IT skills. This should include knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience working in a Paraplanning role.
  • Achieved professional qualifications to at least Level 4 (CII Diploma in Financial Planning).
  • Ideally on your way to achieving Chartered with the CII.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Attention to quality, detail and accuracy and getting it right first time.
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines
  • Flexible and able to deal with a multitude of tasks at once, able to prioritise when there are apparent conflicts of time or resource.
  • Client focused; friendly, helpful and considerate to all.
  • Show initiative, being able to motivate & manage oneself and to have a desire to improve and develop.
  • Enjoys working with other people and works well in a team environment.
