HR Advisor, Wilmslow, £34,000

The purpose of this role

As HR Advisor you’ll work closely with the HR Manager to provide generalist HR support across the business in terms of advice, employment law updates, recruitment and learning & development.

Whilst being passionate about the people you’ll be pivotal in coaching and guiding employees within the business, fostering an ongoing culture of support and excellence.

As HR Advisor you’ll be responsible for:

  • Supporting managers with regards to informal resolution of issues and advising on all matters relating to employee relations cases
  • Providing guidance and training to managers
  • Updating and drafting of HR policies
  • Keeping abreast of any changes legislation changes and updating all internal documents accordingly  
  • Supporting recruitment across the business
  • Drafting and sending employment offers, setting up new starters and carrying out references for all employees 

Skills & Experience as HR Advisor :

  • Prior experience in an HR Advisory role (min 3 years)
  • Supporting conduct, capability, absence, grievance and complaint meetings
  • Prior experience of designing/delivering training sessions
  • Understanding of HR processes and legislation
  • CIPD qualification or working towards (desirable but not essential)
  • Competent IT skills using Excel (Intermediate), Word and PowerPoint
  • A flexible and hands on approach, with the natural ability to work in a continually changing environment
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships
  • Ability to work to given deadlines whilst maintaining a high attention to detail
