Medlock Partners are proud to be partnering with a market-leading professional services company to recruit an HR Advisor with Generalist HR experience and a passion for and experience in Learning & Development – this is essential for the role/business.
Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be part of a small HR team and will handle employee relations cases, including absence management, welfare meetings, performance management, and disciplinary matters. Additionally, you will develop and deliver internal training, so a passion for L&D is very important for this role.

Key Responsibilities of the HR Advisor:
- Collaborate closely with the HR Manager on day-to-day HR and employee relations matters, including informal resolutions and advising on formal disciplinary, grievance, capability, and absence management cases.
- Coach and guide line managers and team leaders to improve their capabilities, ensuring their approaches align with company policies and procedures.
- Develop and deliver training modules, co-facilitating sessions that focus on managing people and driving development.
- Identify areas for improvement within HR processes, implementing innovative solutions to drive positive change.
- Draft, update, and maintain HR policies, procedures.
- Support with recruitment activities and provide general HR administrative assistance where needed.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to managing a varied workload, prioritising effectively to meet business needs
- Act as a collaborative and supportive team player, championing the company’s culture and values at all times.
Key requirements of the HR Advisor:
- CIPD Level 3 or 5 preferable
- Up to date knowledge of HR best practice
- Experience of Employee Relations is essential for this role
- Proven experience as an HR Advisor or in a similar role and L&D or coaching experience
- Some experience of payroll processes and procedures would be helpful
- Strong IT Skills and knowledge of HR systems and databases
- Ability to take ownership of a task and see it through to completion
- A proactive mindset, capable of managing multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
