The Cover Teacher Role

As a Cover Teacher, you will:

  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Adapt quickly to different school settings, building rapport with students and staff.
  • Provide continuity in education during teacher absences, maintaining high standards of learning and engagement.
Cover Teacher Requirements

We’re looking for individuals with the following:

  • A teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS) or significant experience in teaching.
  • Confidence in delivering lessons across a range of subjects at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential).
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to working in different schools.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
