Exciting Opportunity in Wilmslow! Join this vibrant SEN School, established in April 2023, with a capacity for 50 students.

This school cater to young individuals aged 5 to 19, offering specialised support for complex communication needs, often associated with Autism spectrum conditions. Their mission is to provide an outstanding educational experience, mirroring the success of their neighbouring 'Outstanding' rated school.

They're currently seeking experienced 1-1 SEN Teaching Assistants with Level 3 qualifications to join this dynamic team.

Role Overview: As a dedicated Teaching Assistant, your primary responsibility is to facilitate the learning and well-being of all the students, ensuring they have the best chance to fulfil their potential in a nurturing and secure environment. Your role may involve assisting with care needs, implementing positive behaviour management strategies tailored to each child, and fostering warm, supportive relationships to promote independence and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students' emotional and educational development, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with class teachers to deliver engaging and differentiated educational activities.
  • Adapt to the evolving needs of the school environment, providing assistance wherever necessary.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in SEN environments, either in a professional or voluntary capacity.
  • Possession of a full UK driving license and access to own transportation (desirable).
  • GCSE Maths and English at Level 3 or above (essential).
  • Level 3 qualification in Support work for Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
  • Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
  • Knowledge or experience working with SEN or SEMH/ASD students.
  • Flexibility, creativity, and a child-centric approach.
