Our client, a leading player in the aerospace sector, is currently seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team. This permanent position is a fantastic opportunity to ensure the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction within a dynamic and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality input into new bids and conduct thorough contract reviews.
  • Generate and implement Quality plans to meet customer requirements.
  • Drive product and process non-conformance investigations, including root cause analysis and concession management.
  • Manage and host customer audits and source inspection activities.
  • Oversee the management of quality escapes and customer investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Management System throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Conduct required First Article Inspections (AS9102) and facilitate the smooth transition of new products into production.
  • Manage NCR and FRACA processes, including MRB ownership and facilitation.
  • Generate and track quality metrics to meet set targets and determine quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support inspection processes and ensure adherence to proper documentation for product sign-off prior to dispatch.


Job Requirements:

  • Proven background in Quality Assurance and thorough understanding of quality tools and techniques.
  • Experience with QMS implementation and auditing to recognised aerospace standards.
  • Proven ability to understand and flow down customer quality requirements, ensuring delivery of conforming products.
  • Excellent root cause analysis and corrective action skills.
  • Core competency in one or more of the following specialties: software, mechanical, electrical, metrology, systems, composites.
  • Competencies as per the competency matrix relevant to the job level.

Qualifications:

  • HND/HNC in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Good working knowledge of quality standards such as AS9100, AS9110, Part 21 (G), Part 145, DAOS.
  • Familiarity with AS9145, APQP, PPAP, FAIR, PFMEA, MSA, and Control Plan.
  • Experience in implementing structured problem-solving and root cause corrective action techniques (e.g., 8D, RCCA, 5-Why).
  • Experience with proactive and preventive quality techniques.
