JOB- Senior Quality Engineer

LOCATION- Dorset

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £45,000-£50,000 per annum (dependent on experience) 

We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer on a permanent basis in the Dorset area to ensure external Quality Activities are maintained and improved. Ensuring customer satisfaction and Supplier development activities are supported and undertaken. Reporting on activities and improvements to achieve company goals.

 

The Senior Quality Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Degree in Electro-Mechanical or equivalent work based experience
  • 3 years experience in similar role
  • Internal Auditor experience
  • Experience with ISO9001 beneficial
  • Self-motivated individual
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure

 

The Senior Quality Engineer role will involve:

  • Ability to review and understand technical specifications
  • Develop SPC methodology ensuring process capability across suppliers
  • Improve in house inspection and apply ECN's where necessary
  • Use of RCA tools such as 8D,5WHY, ISHIKAWA
  • Complete supplier audits performance audits to enhance process standardisation
  • Monitor supplier performance, define process parameter to ensure process capability
  • Monitor output, quality & scrap rates. Improving OTD performance
  • Maintain records of products and approved suppliers
  • Continually improve QMS processes
  • Confident in 8D reporting and completing FMEA/DFMEA's
