Relief Head Chef - ENHANCED DBS CHECKED - High Volume School and Events Catering Facilities - Dorset - £22.00 per hour - Travel Costs Paid - Possible Live-in

IMMEDIATE START

We're looking for an experienced Head Chef to step in as Relief Head Chef while we recruit for a permanent Head Chef (possible Temp-Perm Opportunities), possible 3-4 month contract.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/CERTIFICATES

  • Enhanced DBS Certificate (Adult and Child Workforce)
  • NVQ/BTEC qualified (City & Guilds NVQ 7083 Level 3 or equivalent
  • Considerable trade and food production management experience in a fast temp and high footfall environment.
  • Experience of managing high profile catering events
  • Experience of managing a team of staff and of dealing with difficult staffing situations
  • Effective communication skills
  • Demonstrable effective management and delegation skills
  • A creative passion for good food and excellence in food delivery
  • A desire to pass on knowledge and skills to develop the team, whilst ensuring that development of chefs through coaching and mentoring is maintained.
  • High level of numeracy and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent ICT and organisational skills
  • Well-presented appearance and manner
  • An open and supportive but strong and assertive leadership style
  • High standard of spoken and written English
  • Available to work evening and weekends as required
  • Locally based
