Jointer required for our client who is a leading electrical utility provider based in the southwest region, offering services nationwide. Their Engineers and Technicians specialize in the design, construction, maintenance, and end-of-life management (decommissioning) of private and public distribution networks. This position will require occasional stay-away work, involving travel to project sites outside of your local area such as London. This role involves a 48-hour contract. Your role will include working on high-profile projects such as Shell garages, Costa and Greggs drive-thrus, and large car showrooms, with a specific focus on 11kV voltage systems and substations.

Jointer Job Overview

  • Perform jointing, termination, and installation of LV and HV cables.
  • Fault finding, diagnostics, and repair of LV/HV cable systems.
  • Work collaboratively with the project teams and report to site managers.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all health and safety guidelines.
  • Conduct site assessments and inspections to identify potential hazards or non-compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, including cable jointing and terminations.
  • Ensure work is compliant with regulations and standards.

Jointer Job Requirments

  • Proven experience as a Cable Jointer working on both LV and HV networks.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Familiarity with other DNO authorisations (UKPN LPN/SPN, SSE, WPD, etc.) is desirable.
  • Experience working in different environments (commercial, industrial, etc.) is desirable.
  • Qualifications in LV and HV

Jointer Salary & Benefits
