Our client, a prominent entity in the defence and Nuclear sector, is currently seeking an Electronics Engineer to join their team on a contractual basis. This role is integral to supporting various high-stakes and cutting-edge projects, primarily involving hardware engineering and safety-regulated systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the electronic engineering aspects of projects
- Applying appropriate electronic engineering practice on projects
- Generating and maintaining high-quality electronic documentation and gaining formal review approval for release
- Using electronic engineering tools for design simulations, calculations, etc.
- Supporting representations of project electronic engineering to the project or customer community
- Supporting other engineering or related disciplines as required, e.g., production or test
- Performing any other relevant duties as required
Job Requirements:
- HND/Degree (or equivalent experience) qualified engineer, preferably in an engineering discipline
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with membership (or working towards membership) of a relevant institution would be an advantage
- Experience of engineering in a safety regulated industry
- A knowledge of safety system design in accordance with IEC 61508 or similar safety standards (IEC 61513, IEC 61226) would be advantageous
- Good knowledge of systems engineering processes, standards, and methodologies (e.g., IEC 15288, UML)
- Experience in using Altium, LTSpice, and MathCAD would be an advantage
- Able to attain UKSV SC security clearance
