We are currently seeking a Housekeeping Assistant tojoin a unique educational provisionsupporting and preparingstudents for adult life with learning difficulties.

Therole:
Working as part of the friendly and hardworking housekeeping team, duties will include vacuum cleaning, wiping furniture, mopping hard surfaces and other general cleaning duties.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Vacuum cleaning floors
  • Spot cleaning of spillages
  • Wiping furniture, ledges, pipes, paintwork, doors and polishing door glass
  • Emptying and cleaning bins (daily)
  • Cleaning toilets including sanitary fittings and surrounds
  • Mopping and spray cleaning hard floor surfaces
  • Wiping, dusting, cobweb removal, polishing banister rails spindles and wood surrounds.
  • Replenishing janitorial supplies in toilets, etc (daily)
  • Checking and closing windows, switching off lights after work and ensure the building is secure on exit
  • Such other duties as may be allocated from time to time
  • All defects/hazards must be immediately reported


Experience /Qualifications:
Experience of using equipment and materials in situations where care is needed to prevent harm to others
  • Key aspects of Health and Safety legislation for cleaning
  • Experience of cleaning a variety of surfaces.
  • The role will require some lone working; travel; physical work and the ability to drive
