We are looking for a dedicated Quality Control Inspector to join a leading aerospace organisation in Wimborne, on a permanent basis. Providing critical inspection of aerospace components to ensure they meet the highest industry standards.
As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for the quality inspection of detailed aerospace parts in accordance with design data. You will perform various inspections, manage non-conformance reports, and contribute to our culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect detailed parts according to design specifications.
- Perform product Stage and Final Inspections.
- Create First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) and prepare associated documentation packs (VISUAL FAIR and/or AS9102).
- Maintain supplier and reject logs.
- Conduct Good Inwards Inspection and maintain accurate data entry and administration.
- Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and conduct investigations using problem-solving tools (5 Whys, Ishikawa, 8D's), including Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPAs).
- Manage and use calibrated measuring equipment, as well as operate CMM and laser tracking.
- Support relevant functions and encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
- Complete other work-related tasks as reasonably required.
Personal Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience in an Aerospace environment is preferred.
- Standards: Experience working within ISO9001 and AS9100 approved organisations.
- Qualifications: Recognised qualifications or relevant experience in Manufacturing and Quality Management Systems is desirable
- Technical Skills: Experience with CMM and laser tracking is highly desirable.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and a methodical approach to tasks.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and accurately record information.
- Communication: Good oral and written communication skills.
- Teamwork: A good team player with a flexible attitude towards workload.
- Safety-Conscious: A strong safety-first mindset.
- Independence: Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
