Risk Analyst | Wimborne – Hybrid | £35,000

Rubicon’s client is a forward-thinking, flexible employer, specialising in mortgages and lending. Their head office is based in Wimborne in Dorset, however the majority of their team’s work hybrid or fully remote.  The requirement has arisen for a Risk Analyst to join the Legal, Risk and Compliance department on a permanent basis.  

Reporting into the Chief Risk Officer, you’ll play instrumental role in identifying, evaluating and mitigating risks that could affect business operations and strategic goals.

Your responsibilities as Risk Analyst:

  • To support the embedding of a robust risk management framework
  • Undertake detailed analysis of Credit Risk portfolio performance to identify areas of emerging risk
  • Work closely with various business units, including IT, to create and automate tools for Prudential Risk Projects
  • Build and improve existing MI and analytical reporting tools to improve our understanding of current trends
  • Strengthen Credit Risk capabilities by incorporating new data sources in Credit Risk oversight
  • Ensure that the portfolio strategies and processes are compliant with the appropriate regulations

As Risk Analyst you'll have:

  • 1-5 years experience within a Risk Management or Data Analyst role
  • Bachelor’s/ master’s degree within Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • Experience working with data sets from disparate sources
  • Some technical understanding around credit risk and broader prudential risks
  • Excellent MS Office skills including advance Excel
  • A logical mind with an ability to understand and evaluate complex problems with excellent attention to detail
  • An ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
