Salary up to £55,000 + 25 Days Holiday + Pension

Blaymires Recruitment is representing a leading offsite design and build contractor based near Ringwood who is searching for an Estimator. The company has a proven track record of building high-quality new buildings for the MOD, Social Housing and Education sectors with project values ranging from £1M to £30M.

The company will consider either an Estimator or Estimator / Surveyor with main contracting or sub-contracting experience who is looking for a long term opportunity to grow with the business.

You will be familiar with financial and project principles and able to understand scope of works & bill of quantities. You will be able co-ordinate "take off’s" from drawings and Groundwork experience would be an advantage.

The Role of the Estimator:

To provide estimating support by analysing proposals and requirements to provide accurate cost information for all company projects.
Presenting tenders in conjunction with the Business Development Team to the directors.
To support Value Engineering activities on projects.
Support new product development, by inputting into the design team meetings with cost- based input and lessons.

Key Responsibilities of the Estimator:

Understanding the project/program and its requirements.
Understanding the scope of work & bill of quantities.
Manage internal tender pricing process.
Manage Bid pricing from supply chain.
Determine key variables for cost and other estimates.
Obtain and review offers and quotes by sub-contractors.
Perform risk analysis.
Build relationships with key sub-contractors & suppliers.
Source "new" sub-contractors & suppliers.

On Offer for the Estimator

Salary up to £55,000 depending on experience.
Car Allowance £5,250 per annum.
Pension 4% matched by the company.
Life Cover 2X Basic salary.
Holidays: 25 per annum + Bank holidays.
Ongoing training and development.
Career progression.

Hours:

Mon - Thursday 8.30am - 17.00pm.
Fridays 8.30am - 13.00pm working from home.
