Our client is looking to expand their residential conveyancing team and seeking an experienced solicitor or legal executive with at least 5 years PQE to join our busy, friendly team. This is an excellent opportunity to work autonomously while managing a full caseload, with the support of a collaborative team. You will handle a broad range of residential conveyancing matters, including sales and purchases, Help to Buy schemes, residential leases, leasehold enfranchisement and extensions, mortgages and re-mortgages, deeds of variation, and option agreements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and oversee a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction to completion, ensuring efficient and timely handling of cases.
  • Provide expert advice on a wide range of residential property transactions including sales, purchases, Help to Buy, and leasehold enfranchisement.
  • Advise clients on matters relating to mortgages, re-mortgages, residential leases, deeds of variation, and option agreements.
  • Work independently and proactively while maintaining excellent communication with clients and internal teams.
  • Handle legal documentation and conduct the necessary searches and enquiries.
  • Draft and review legal contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Liaise with third parties such as estate agents, surveyors, and mortgage brokers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Keep up-to-date with developments in residential property law.

Key Skills:

  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (CILEX) with at least 5 years PQE in residential conveyancing.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience across a wide range of residential property matters.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Ability to work well within a team and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Highly organised with attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Ability to adapt to new legal technologies and systems.
