About the Role:

We seek an experienced and proactive Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for managing and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards and driving a "right first time" culture in both internal production and external manufacturing processes. This role is key to aligning business practices and promoting continuous organisational improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Testing: Formalise and implement strategic testing plans for products.
  • Quality Management System: Implement and maintain ISO 9001 standards and other relevant certifications (ISO 45001, ISO 14001), ensuring alignment across all functional groups.
  • Auditing: Conduct internal, customer, supplier, and third-party audits to ensure high-quality standards throughout the organization.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with manufacturing engineering to implement lessons learned and drive process improvements.
  • Supply Chain Management: Audit supply chain partners and ensure compliance with quality expectations.
  • Customer Returns & Complaints: Lead root cause analysis for customer returns and complaints, working closely with customer service.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and advise on business KPIs and metrics related to quality performance.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience with ISO 9001 standards, ideally in a company with a £5m+ turnover.
  • Strong internal and external auditing background, with experience with root cause investigation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to engage at all levels of the business.
  • Strong organisational skills and accountability, with the ability to manage and control quality-related records and data.
  • Adaptable and proactive, with a keen eye for continuous improvement and process optimisation.
  • Experience with supplier quality assurance and managing external manufacturing processes is an advantage.
