The Company:

An Engineering company within the aerospace sector is looking for an Production Engineer to join their team

Job Role Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that continuous improvement is driven through the business
  • Ability to embed any new method of manufacturing to deliver sustainable benefits to the business
  • Prepare and maintain accurate engineering documentation, including bill of materials (BOM), technical specifications, and CAD files.
  • Utilise CAD software such as Inventor, Catia, Radan, or similar to develop models and drawings
  • Establish and maintain system policies associated with lead times for product
  • Ensure WIP is managed to meet all business requirements
  • Support manufacturing activities both internally & externally
  • Participate & lead lean initiatives
  • Support inventory policies to include, FIFO inventory, returnable containers, WIP reduction
  • Work in accordance with the company's policies and goals in order to ensure achievement of company goals and objectives.

The Candidate:

  • Results orientated
  • Technical knowledge of the latest manufacturing methods latest machine tools
  • Technical ability to challenge the norm
  • Working knowledge of materials management theories processes & practices
  • Knowledge of Cad/Cam, programming to enable successful introduction of plan
  • Leadership behaviour to enable team to adhere to planning & operations process
