Graduate Quantity Surveyor Ringwood, HampshireSalary upto £30,000 + Pension + 20 Days HolidayBlaymires Recruitment is representing a respected Groundworks contractor based near Ringwood, Hampshire who is searching for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join the business. The company has been operating for over 40 years and has built up a strong reputation within the residential sector. They undertake major groundworks projects for developers which include the construction of roads, sewers, deep drainage, enabling works, hard landscaping, foundations and infrastructure works.The business has plans to steadily grow and are looking for a Graduate Quantity Survey who ambitious and keen to learn. You will work closely alongside a senior Quantity Surveyor and will receive on the job training.
Responsibilities of the Graduate Quantity Surveyor
- Reporting to the Senior Quantity surveyor and you will assist with he control of multiple residential projects valued up to £3m.
- Assist with all commercial elements of each package.
- Assist with the measurement and valuation of various Civil Engineering and Groundworks packages.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly applications for payments for allocated projects.
- Assist with the identification and pricing of variations to clients.
- Assist with the negotiation and agreement of variations.
- Assist with the preparation of sub-contract tender enquiry documents.
- Assis with the payment of sub-contract accounts.
Requirements of the Senior Quantity Surveyor.
- Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying.
- Live within 45 mins commute of the office near Ringwood, Hampshire
- IT proficient with Microsoft Packages, including Microsoft Excel.
- Valid driving licence to enable travel to live sites across the South.
