The company in Wincanton is seeking a candidate with a background in Electrical Design, ideally someone who has recently completed an apprenticeship in electrical engineering.
The primary responsibilities include creating quotations and electrical designs for client projects, preparing technical drawings, and ensuring product margins are maintained.
Candidates will also be tasked with configuring and testing pre-wired equipment, reviewing manufacturing issues, and maintaining the design and test database.
This is a full-time, permanent position that requires the candidate to work in the office five days a week.
The salary for this role is flexible and will depend on the level of experience the successful candidate brings, with a minimum of one year of relevant experience preferred.

Within this role you would be responsible for the creation of quotations and Electrical Designs for client projects.

Key duties will include:

Prepare quotations, technical drawings and wiring schematics using AutoCAD 2
Ensure margins are maintained across all products within the business
Configure and test pre-wired equipment before it leaves the business and complete all test documentation
Review any manufacturing issues highlighted and update any drawings / processes to prevent re-occurrences
Maintain the design and test database by logging all product designs and test data accurately
Check and approve drawings for production
Update old drawings and up-issue drawing numbers

Providing you have an electrical engineering background, training can be provided within this role.

This is a full time, permanent position based in Wincanton and you must be able to work within the office 5 days a week.
The pay can be flexible depending on the level of experience the successful candidate can bring to the role.
