Multi Skilled Operative

CNC Recruitment are seeking Multi Skilled Operators to join our client's team in Wincanton - a food production manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating machinery and ensuring the efficient production of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate cutting and packing equipment on a modern production line
• Follow strict health, safety, and food legality guidelines
• Maintain high standards of quality and production efficiency
• Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance performance
• Ensure compliance with internal and external audits

Skills, Behaviours, and Experience Required:

• Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations to track production outputs
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures and specifications
• Problem-solving skills and inquisitive mindset
• Commitment to self-improvement and enhancing performance
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Strong work ethic, commitment, and flexibility in duties and hours
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment across multiple disciplines
• Ability to confidently escalate issues when needed
• Mechanically inclined, with an understanding of machinery operations

Essential Requirements:

• Ability to work a rotating shift pattern, Monday to Friday, alternating weekly between night, late, and early shifts
• Reliable independent transportation

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience in a food production environment or relevant food safety qualifications
• Experience in setting up, operating, and changing over production lines
• Experience working with critical control points (CCP)
• Experience in non-food production line settings
• Physically fit, capable of occasional heavy lifting, and comfortable with long periods of standing and navigating stairs
• Experience with Alpma and PFM machines
