This is what you'll be doing:

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring equipment runs efficiently, supporting production targets while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine and reactive maintenance on production equipment to ensure reliability.
  2. Investigate and resolve mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
  3. Support process improvements by identifying areas for optimisation and efficiency gains.
  4. Conduct inspections and ensure all machinery operates in compliance with safety standards.
  5. Assist in project work, including equipment upgrades and installations.
  6. Keep accurate maintenance records and contribute to data-driven performance improvements.
  7. Collaborate with production teams to ensure minimal disruption during maintenance activities.
  8. Participate in health & safety initiatives and drive best practices across the site.

What we're looking for:

  • Time-served or formally qualified engineer (C&G Level 3, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial production environments.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies and preventative maintenance.
  • Comfortable working with pumps, conveyors, valves, and packaging machinery.
