Quality Inspector - Wincanton

£13 - £15 p/h

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Inspector to join to Aerospace/Oil and Gas/Defence Component Manufacturing Company in the Wincanton area on an initial 3-month contract bases.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Perform Quality Inspections: Inspect precision components at various stages of production, including first-off, in-process, and final inspections to ensure conformity to technical drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
    Use of Inspection Tools & Equipment: Utilize a variety of precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inspection results and prepare detailed reports on non-conformances
  • Adhere to Quality Standards: Ensure all products comply with ISO 9001/AS9100 or equivalent standards, as well as specific customer requirements.
  • Audits & Compliance: Support internal and external audits by providing inspection data and documentation as required.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of materials used in aerospace, oil & gas, and defense industries (e.g., metals, alloys, composites)
  • Experience with manual measuring equipment (No CMMs)
  • Working to ISO 9001:2015
