This is a 12 months Fixed Term Contract working 28 hours per week over 4 or 5 days per week (Hybrid working)

We are looking for a Accounts Payable Assistant to join our Finance team based in our Winchester office and support both the Finance department and wider business with expenses, payment runs and other ad-hoc accounts support functions.

What's the role?

This is a key role working within a small team of three within the wider LCP Finance team. It's a varied role where you'll support across expenses, payments and many other ad-hoc account support tasks. You'll use your confident communication skills to liaise and build strong relationships with staff and Partners at all levels to discuss and support them on expenses and your ability to grasp new systems quickly to become a whizz on our expense system. It will also require a good attention to detail to not only ensure that the information your inputting is correct, but to assist in supporting the work of others in the team too.

What will you be doing?

  • Making BACS and online payments
  • Ensuring payments are processed and entries coded as per LCP guidelines
  • Maintaining staff vendor list such as Bank details and e-mails for remittances
  • Answering any general expense queries from staff and Partners
  • Ad hoc journals in Navision (our Finance software)

What skills and experience are we looking for?

  • A financial or accounting background is desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good understanding of all the Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel and Teams
  • A willingness to learn and try new things
  • Great communication skills and the confidence to liaise with the wider business
  • Any knowledge of invoicing systems and ledger systems is highly desirable
