Our client, a prominent accountancy and tax advisory practice have an opening for a Finance Assistant to join their Finance Team in their central Winchester offices.

This is a new role that has come about as a result of the company's growth plans.

The role's key purpose is to manage the financial reporting, management accounts preparation and the day to day financial operations of the Company.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Record and post the day-to-day financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts and payments
  • Prepare and file VAT returns
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts and other financial accounts
  • Supporting with budgeting and forecasting
  • Manage the accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, preparing payments and maintaining supplier records
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis
  • Balance sheet management and reconciliation
  • Produce draft financial statements, including trial balance, profit and loss and balance sheet
  • Project involvement

About you:

  • You will have UK experience in either practice or industry and you willl be at least AAT qualified.
  • You will also have a good working knowledge of Excel with exceptional attention to detail.
