I am actively seeking a Structural Engineer to join a busy, successful Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy based in Winchester. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting and challenging projects across various construction sectors, including healthcare, commercial offices, education, retail, mixed-use, and residential schemes, throughout the UK. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a company that is passionate about innovative and sustainable construction.

Main Responsibilities for this Structural Engineer include:

  • Undertake engineering analysis and design calculations for structural and civil projects using the latest technical software.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings and models using AutoCAD or Revit.
  • Report to the project manager, ensuring your work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Attend design team meetings, both remotely and on-site, and foster strong client relationships.
  • Mentor and provide training to junior staff members.

It is essential for this Structural Engineer to have a professional and commercial viewpoint through having the following:

  • A BEng, BSc, MEng, or MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ICE-approved institution.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in a local authority, consultancy, or design office.
  • Strong knowledge of steel, masonry, timber, and concrete structures, designed to Eurocode standards.
  • Strong IT skills, including report preparation, email, and spreadsheet management.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and team-working skills.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and demonstrate a proactive approach to tasks.
