Our client, a prominent entity in the manufacturing sector, is looking for a Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry Analyst (GC-MS Analyst) to join their UKAS Accredited Air Monitoring Laboratory on a contract basis. This role presents an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic and friendly team, undertaking analytical testing using GC-MS techniques to identify and quantify organic compounds in samples.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting analytical testing using GC-MS techniques
  • Identifying and quantifying organic compounds in a variety of samples
  • Handling chemicals, instruments, and equipment with a focus on safety
  • Documenting analytical procedures and results accurately


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in analytical chemistry, particularly with GC-MS
  • Knowledge or experience in HPLC and Ion chromatography is advantageous
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field
  • Strong communication skills


Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8.30am to 5.15pm
  • Friday: 8.30am to 4.00pm
  • Free parking available
