The products are technical, used in research around the world, so you need to be comfortable speaking about the science with like-minded people. There has been huge growth in automated testing - everyone wants to go faster with high throughput, and these products work perfectly alongside! You’ll be working closely with customers and the technical team, developing a concept product and managing the project through to successful delivery of a prototype. You will be bringing the voice of the customer back to the office to help bring the project to life.
With many customers across the world, there will be some travel involved to visit customers and attend conferences and shows: roughly a trip every 6-8 weeks. The rest of the time you will be in the office, collaborating across the business, or working from home.

The Candidate: Scientific Sales ManagerThe successful candidate will be positive and confident in their ability, and will have most of the following skills and experience:
- Experience in life sciences, whether that be from academia or industry
- Some industry experience in a role interacting with customers
- Comfortable in a smaller business, where processes and systems are being developed.
- Willing to travel throughout the UK and internationally for customer visits and occasional scientific conferences, on average 30% of the time
