Design manager required. Our client is a well-established equipment manufacturer based in Marchwood, near Southampton who supply full turnkey projects to a range of industries.
Due to continued success, they are seeking an experienced Design Engineering professional with an electrical / automation bias to join the team, and report directly to the managing director.
Design Manager Job Overview- Managing all aspects of design engineering projects from conception through to delivery
- Managing, developing and growing the engineering team, currently compromising of 3 direct reports
- Overseeing control panel design, PLC & HMI Design and software design
- Experience and skills with Control Panel Design, PLC's, HMI, SCADA, Software Design, PCB's, Hydraulics and Pneumatics are all desirable
- Experience in industrial engineering, involving design, manufacture and projects
- An understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering, with an electrical design engineering bias
- Previous experience at either a Senior Design Engineer or Design Management level
- Based in a commutable distance of Marchwood, Southampton
- Salary £50,000 - £55,000 depending on experience
- Performance related bonus of up to 10% annually
- 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays (3 days to be used during Christmas shutdown)
- Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 16:45. Friday 08:00 - 13:00.
