My client are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of projects. This role involves comprehensive project management responsibilities, including scheduling, cost control, resource management, procurement, and quality assurance. The Senior Project Manager will be the primary point of contact for clients and will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered to the required quality, budget, and programme.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage engineering, design, and turnkey projects from inception to completion.
  • Oversee all project functions, including design, engineering, procurement, sub-contracted manufacture, build, testing, and installation.
  • Monitor and control projects to ensure they are delivered on budget and to schedule.
  • Provide internal and client project reporting.
  • Manage sub-contracts for manufacturing, fabrication, and specialist services.
  • Handle procurement of bought-out items and maintain Lifetime Quality Records to required standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, ensuring their expectations are met.
  • Identify opportunities for additional work and manage any changes in project scope.
  • Understand and manage risks associated with projects.
  • Ensure project forecast reports and plans comply with company processes and procedures.
  • Prepare resourced programmes and work plans to accomplish project goals.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • APM Project Management qualification or equivalent (Essential)
  • Degree Qualification in an Engineering or other relevant discipline (Desirable)
  • Substantial exposure to managing a variety of contracts (NEC3 or 4 preferred)
  • Experience of delivering projects or programmes in accordance with a business quality management system.
  • Ability to manage and motivate teams to achieve goals.
  • Extensive project and programme management experience (approx. 10 years).
  • Experience within a heavily regulated industry (approx. 5 years).
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience of working with Protectively Marked Information is an advantage.
  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance (SC vetting level).
  • Professional, personable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
