A leading privately owned civils contractor based in the south coast is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join their business. This is a excellent opportunity to join a family-owned business with an extensive background as a reputable contractor. This Health & Safety Advisor will play a key part in the development and future of the business.

About the role of Health & Safety Advisor

This regional contractor traditionally specialises in ground works & earthworks for large developers, packages valuing up to 5M across Hampshire, Dorset, Sussex and Surrey for framework clients. The role of Health & Safety Advisor will report directly to the Health & Safety Manager, with a clear progression plan and development strategy in place.

Responsibilities for Health & Safety Advisor

Regular client liaison
Conducting on site audits and Inspections
Preparation of risk assessments and method statements where appropriate for the project teams
Keeping up to date with the latest HSQE requirements including legislation and best practice.

Requirements for Health & Safety Advisor

Previous experience within the industry is desired but not essential
Relevant qualification including either NEBOSH or IOSH
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Drive and determination for progression and learning
