To: • Create drawings, using relevant specifications, where design is applicable.
• Go to site and site office (3-4 days per week) and complete surveys, take photos in order to create design drawings.
• Liaise with Design Manager, commercial and project manager to ensure design is within budget.
• Update drawings based on accurate site surveyed information.
Role Responsibilities:
• Creation, monitoring and revision of assigned drawings.
• Liaison with manufacturers and project teams including distribution of relevant documentation.
• Respond to technical queries and make recommendations to fix problems.
• Respond to adhoc problems and raise with D&Q manager accordingly.
• Undertake site inspections to monitor and manage technical quality of works and ensure they are carried out as per specifications and manufacturers’ recommendations.
Key Tasks
• Ensure information is available for site set up in line with requirements, from job start to close.
• As advised by D&Q manager, visit sites on a planned and adhoc basis.
• Attend regular meetings with site teams, as required.
• Create fabrication drawings and issue to buying department for procurement.
• Collate relevant information for relevant standards to pass to client and funder as appropriate.
• Make recommendations for changes, to D&Q manager.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Engineering or Architect related studies or equivalent experience
• CSCS card basic level
• Facades experience, EWI, cladding, rainscreen experience is essential
General IT:
• Competent user MS Excel, MS Word, Microsoft Outlook email and calendars.
• Expert AutoCAD user (3D AutoCAD/SketchUp/Revit optional)
