ML67- Property Consultant.Salary: £43,000.Location: Winchester.Overview:First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Property Consultant on behalf of one of our clients.Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Appointment, on-site briefing, and coordination of surveyors.
  • Assisting with the set-up and testing of mobile devices for data collection.
  • Managing pilot surveys to test systems and procedures.
  • Providing guidance for surveyors within the team.
  • Conduct energy assessments in residential properties; training will be offered if needed. Complete stock condition surveys if needed.
  • Liaising with the data analysts within the team.
  • Undertaking physical reinspections, accompanied visits, and other data on-site QA checks.
  • Day-to-day liaison with the survey team.
  • Reporting to the team and clients on progress and issues affecting fieldwork.
  • Managing a dedicated email inbox for your own projects, where HHSRS emails are picked up.
  • Support and reporting to the wider team.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to energy efficiency.
  • Act as the lead surveyor/DEA on new projects.

Skills and qualifications:

  • Appropriate qualifications such as DEA are desirable, including knowledge of construction technology relating to residential accommodation. The role combines work on-site as well as some office-based activities.
  • Knowledge of stock condition surveys is essential.
  • Additional related experience in stock condition surveying would be desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of HHSRS and decent homes.
  • A competent user of Excel.
  • Attention to detail and a professional demeanor is important. You will ideally be methodical and have a high level of intellect with excellent oral skills to ensure projects are delivered to a high quality within agreed timelines.
  • It is anticipated the role will require initial and ongoing training in areas where knowledge may be limited, such as retrofit assessments. You will be fully supported in gaining this expertise and qualification.
