We are looking for a Senior Proposals Engineer who is adept at preparing winning bids and managing the end-to-end bid process. This role is crucial in shaping the future of nuclear engineering by leveraging innovative solutions and maintaining high safety standards.
Day-to-day of the role:- Identify new opportunities through various sources and develop and maintain client relationships.
- Manage the entire bid lifecycle, ensuring compliance and commercial viability.
- Facilitate bid meetings, reviews, and approvals, coordinating inputs from multiple stakeholders.
- Develop detailed technical proposals and subcontracting strategies.
- Produce project cost estimates and delivery programmes, highlighting key risks and assumptions.
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, customers, and suppliers.
- Support the Commercial Team's operations and participate in business change initiatives.
- Comply with GDPR and company policies, ensuring a commitment to health and safety and diversity and inclusion.
- Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent experience in an engineering discipline, preferably mechanical or electrical.
- Over 5 years of experience in sales and tendering within an engineering environment.
- Strong project management skills and experience with work breakdown structures and cost estimating.
- Proficiency in creating logic-linked Gantt Charts and managing bids.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Creative and innovative thinking with good commercial awareness.
