Do you live within close proximity to Winchester? Are you seeking a full-time, permanent position? The role of Production Operative is a permanent role, hours Monday-Friday 0900-1630 with a salary of between £24,000 - £27,000 per year.

Please note that due to the company location, own transport is required.

We are seeking a Production Operative to join a small team who are based on the outskirts of Winchester. This role would suit someone who has relevant experience within a production/warehouse/stores setting and who has strong dexterity skills. A maintenance/production or similar background is advantageous, and it is essential that you have a strong eye for detail and basic assembly skills.

We are seeking a down to earth and personable character, who enjoys the camaraderie of working within a small team. Ideally you will have a natural interest in machinery as your sharp eyes and ability to take things apart (and put them back together!) will be required!

You will have a good level of physical fitness as this role incorporates repetitive work, standing for long periods of time and lifting lightweight goods.

Daily responsibilities

  • Manufacture and filling of samples
  • Assist with labelling of cartridges
  • Production waste management in association with Site Manager and QC department.
  • Carry out regular maintenance checks and ongoing maintenance of mixing equipment, presses and compressor.
  • Stripping and cleaning of machinery
  • Upkeep of pallet and drum moving equipment
  • In process QC checks and support QC with recommended modifications.
  • Attending and contributing to weekly operations meetings
  • Ensure raw materials are stored and labelled correctly and storage areas are kept clean and tidy.
  • Assist with annual stock take
  • Assist dispatch when production quiet and dispatch busy
  • Cleanliness and tidiness of working environment, stores areas in particular
  • Maintenance of grounds - lawn mowing, weed control, miscellaneous tasks as required
