Finance Manager (Part-Qualified)

We are currently seeking a dynamic and proactive part-qualified Finance Manager to join one of our valued clients. This role is ideal for someone who is advancing through their professional accounting qualifications and is eager to apply their knowledge in a practical setting. The Finance Manager will be instrumental in managing financial accounting, reporting, and control activities, ensuring they are carried out efficiently, effectively, and in line with best practice.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist in preparing timely monthly financial statements, including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis, and commentaries.
  • Offer professional judgement on financial matters and advise on ways of improving business performance.
  • Interpret and communicate financial data to non-financial managers.
  • Liaise with other function managers to put the finances and accounts in context.
  • Monitor and evaluate financial information systems and suggest improvements where needed.
  • Implement corporate governance procedures, risk management, and internal controls.
  • Handle the preparation of company tax and regulatory/compliance submissions.
  • Participate in budgeting processes and provide input into departmental budgets.
  • Engage in benchmarking studies to establish areas of potential operational improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in finance management.
  • Strong understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient user of finance software.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
