Tax Advisory ManagerSussexPermanent£50,000- £52,000 + Benefits + Study supportARM are delighted to be partnering with this accountancy firm to recruit for a Tax Advisory Manager to join the advisory group, this opportunity would suit someone who would like to specialsie in tax.You may currently be working in an accounts or in an audit team with a strong interest in tax advisory, or you may already be part of a dedicated tax team.Responsibilities:

  • Liaising and corresponding with HMRC in respect of clearance applications, enquiries etc
  • Drafting reports and letters of advice for a number of tax advisory issues
  • Preparing calculations to support advice
  • Liaising with clients and attending meetings with other team members
  • Training and reviewing the work of more junior members of staff
  • Providing support to Directors and Partners in the Tax Advisory Group
  • Provide advice and manage the implementation of corporate reconstructions, investor reliefs (such as EIS/SEIS), and staff incentive schemes.
  • Advise owner-managed businesses on remuneration planning and succession planning strategies.
  • Prepare research & development claims, VAT returns, and SDLT returns.
  • Advise individuals on inheritance tax (IHT) planning and capital gains tax (CGT) mitigation.
  • Review corporate tax computations and returns to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Ideal candidate Qualifications:

  • Experience with corporate taxes is essential
  • If you are not CTA qualified, you must be AAT or ACA/ACCA qualified and willing to pursue CTA certification.
  • Knowledge in other areas of tax is also beneficial.
  • Excellent teamwork abilities and organizational skills, including the ability to monitor timetables and budgets.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • A keen interest in learning and developing tax knowledge.
