Lawes Group are working with one of the largest independent insurance brokers who are seeking a Commercial Account Handler.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to join a brokerage who are willing to train and support you within development of sales and marketing strategies.  

Our client will consider candidates from a personal lines background who want to move into commerical insurance. 

About the Role:

  • The position is for a Commercial Account Handler, ideally with about 2-4 years' experience handling commercial combined packages.
  • Our client will consider candidates from a Personal Lines background.
  • Administer a portfolio of client insurance plans in a professional and ethical manner following agreed procedures.
  • You will be your client's first point of contact for cover queries, mid-term adjustments, quotations for additional insurances, document issue and many other tasks and projects.
  • Office base but home working also considered depending on experience
  • Undertake sales activities ensuring delivery of sales and marketing targets
  • Responsible for the management and development of new and existing accounts

Role Requirements:

  • Computer literate
  • Knowledge of sales processes within relevant market
  • Good product and technical knowledge
  • Ability to work in a team/team player
  • Excellent communication time management negotiation presentation and relationship building skills
  • Self-motivated and resilient
  • Account campaign management skills
  • CII qualification preferred but not essential
