We are seeking a hard-working and enthusiastic Reprographics Technician. The purpose ofthe role is to provide an effective and efficient reprographics and print service to all the teaching and support staff of this highly regarding Independent School in Hampshire.
Tasks:
Operating equipment: Using photographic and micro graphic equipment to reproduce documentation for teaching staff and pupils.
Managing service level requirements from teaching staff and pupils. Setting realistic expectations and working to some tight deadlines in a calm and friendly manner
Setting up machines for batch production, maintaining equipment: Ensuring that machines have the correct levels of ink, chemicals, and toners
Quality checking: Monitoring the progress of copying runs and quality checking samples
Finishing items: Trimming, binding, or laminating copied item
Ordering supplies: Recording job details and ordering supplies - managing all stationary for the school
Working closely with the IT departments in relation to electronic reproduction and hard copy
Advising staff: Advising staff on how to use equipment and ensuring compliance with copyright and health and safety laws
Arranging repairs: Arranging repairs for equipment as needed
Maintaining the room: Ensuring that the reprographics room is kept tidy and ordered
The Reprographics area is the hub of the school. It is busy and so we need a calm and helpful person who loves producing the very best documents to aid staff/teachers in their teaching and helping students product the best visual work possible.
We need some previous experience in Reprogrpahics for this role, we are open on previous industry experience.
This role is full time (40 hrs per week 8 am- 4.30 pm - Monday to Friday) term time, plus a number of hours (up to 100 hrs) in the school holidays to prepare for start of new terms etc. The role could be managed as a job share.
Salary will be based on experience and capability, pro rata salary range £23k-£26k per annum, based on term time plus contract.
