Job Description

Job title:Mechanical Gas Servicing Engineer Inc COMCAT 1, 2 & 3

Department: Facilities Management

Main purpose of job:Carrying out service, maintenance, small project works and breakdown of commercial and domestic boilers and heating systems.

In addition, to be able to carry out service and breakdowns on commercial catering equipment within our clients properties.

Responsible to:Contract Manager.

Liaison with:Office staff, Clients, Engineers, Sub Contractors.

Main tasks of job:

As a Mechanical Gas/ Catering Engineer, you will be working within a commercial and domestic environment carrying out service, maintenance and breakdown ofcommercial and domestic boilers and heating systemsincluding boilers over 70kw.In addition, their will be a requirement to carry out service and reactive repairs on commercial catering equipment.

Responsible for:

• Service of domestic and commercial boilers and associated ancillary plant
• Fault finding and reactive breakdowns on domestic and commercial gas boilers and ancillary plant including pumps, pressure sets, expansion vessels etc

• Fault finding and reactive repairs to heating and domestic hot water systems
• Assist with small project works associated to boiler and heating systems
• To participate in the out of hours call out rota
• Carry out service and breakdowns on commercial catering appliances

The candidate

• Experienced in all aspects of gas boiler servicing (essential)

• Gas Safe qualified both Commercial and Domestic (essential)
• Commercial catering qualified to COMCAT 1, 2 & 3 (essential)

• Full driving licence (Essential)
• COMCAT 5 (advantageous)

• LPG (advantageous)

• Oil (advantageous)

• Pipe work installation (advantageous)

• FGAS qualified (advantageous)

• 18th edition Electrical (advantageous)
