Annual Salary: £30,940 + up to £170 monthly performance bonus achievable + overtime available at busy times.
Static Location: Micheldever, HampshireJob Type: PermanentReed Recruitment (Southampton branch) are seeking Handyman type construction operatives to join our client's modern production facility in Micheldever, Hampshire.
This role is ideal for Handymen/Carpentry Improvers/Kitchen Fitters who are interested in joining a progressive company that builds and manufactures prefabricated student accommodation modules within a production setting.
Inside the accommodation modules, the role will predominantly be installing and attaching and assembling pre-cut wooden fixtures and fittings, such as shelves and kitchen units. The work will require being able to use power tools, and it will be repetitive as each module is built to the same specifications. No CSCS card is required as the work is not on construction sites but rather in a well-maintained modern production facility.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist in the build process and assembly of prefabricated student accommodation modules…. predominantly assembly and installation of fixtures and fittings wooden fixtures and fittings.
- Work within a team to meet production targets while maintaining high quality standards.
- Follow written procedures accurately and manage materials efficiently.
- Adapt to a dynamic factory environment and contribute to all aspects of the production process.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Carpentry skills and ability to read drawings
- Familiarity with using a variety of power tools. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Self-motivated with a flexible, can-do attitude.
- Reliable, hardworking, and committed to high-quality work.
- Excellent teamwork skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
