A leading privately owned civils contractor based in the south coast is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join their business. This is a excellent opportunity to join a family-owned business with an extensive background as a reputable contractor. This Health & Safety Advisor will play a key part in the development and future of the business.

About the role of Health & Safety Advisor

This regional contractor traditionally specialises in ground works & earthworks for large developers, packages valuing up to £5M across Hampshire, Dorset, Sussex and Surrey for framework clients. The role of Health & Safety Advisor will report directly to the Health & Safety Manager, with a clear progression plan and development strategy in place.

Responsibilities for Health & Safety Advisor

  • Regular client liaison
  • Conducting on site audits and Inspections
  • Preparation of risk assessments and method statements where appropriate for the project teams
  • Keeping up to date with the latest HSQE requirements including legislation and best practice.

Requirements for Health & Safety Advisor

  • Previous experience within the industry is desired but not essential
  • Relevant qualification including either NEBOSH or IOSH
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Drive and determination for progression and learning
