Are you an experienced labourer or carpenter who has knowledge and experience of hard landscaping? Do you wish to work for a company who can offer year round work?

We are recruiting for an experienced Playground Installer/Skilled Labourer on behalf of a vibrant, growing playground design and installation company based in Winchester, Hampshire. Taking immense pride in their skills and workmanship, creating and installing playground projects on behalf of schools, councils and hospitality venues within the South of England. Due to recent expansion, we are keen to recruit an experienced Playground installer/skilled labourer to join this highly approachable and motivated team.

We welcome experienced hard landscapers, carpenters, groundworkers who are seeking full-time permanent employment, either as an employee or self-employed.

They offer year round employment Monday-Friday, (whatever the weather!) yearly pay reviews, supply all your tools and specialist PPE needed and provide use of company vehicles from their Winchester depot to site.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with your team to carry out projects from start to completion
  • Working from technical scale-drawn designs and plans from designers, with support from Projects Manager.
  • Accurately handling volumes and quantities of materials on-site, measuring accurately.
  • Carrying out all aspects of playground installation work, including digging, concreting, excavations, paving, artificial grass, fencing and decking.
  • Building playground equipment from plans
  • Undertaking ad-hoc carpentry work (depending upon your experience)

Skills & Experience:

  • Hard landscaping experience
  • A good understanding of health and safety processes in the workplace
  • Ability to read and follow construction plans
  • Ability and confidence to set out and implement projects from foundations up
  • Knowledge of building playground equipment
  • Carpentry skills would be advantageous but not essential
  • Competence in using power tools
  • Competence in using heavy machinery such as dumpers/diggers
  • Polite, reliable, approachable and professional
  • Excellent communication skills with colleagues, customers and suppliers
  • Physically fit
  • DBS checked (will be undertaken on your behalf)
  • Driving licence essential
  • CSCS advantageous but not essential
