Join one of the UK's fastest-growing logistics companies as a Freight Forwarder. With offices across the UK and Europe and over 250 global network locations, we are expanding our team in Southampton to include a proactive and experienced individual.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently manage and process multimodal freight shipments.
- Book shipments with shipping lines, agents, and hauliers.
- Provide exceptional customer service by tracking shipments and keeping clients informed.
- Handle customs clearance processes for both imports and exports.
- Create orders, negotiate rates, and manage invoices to maximise profit margins.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in multimodal freight forwarding operations.
- Knowledge of customs clearance processes is preferred but not essential.
- Strong understanding of transport and global logistics.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Robust negotiation skills to secure the best deals.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting tight deadlines.
- Strong IT literacy and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
