Senior Town Planner - Winchester

We are excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Town Planner to join a dynamic planning team based in Winchester. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage planning applications from inception through to submission and approval.
  • Provide expert planning advice to a diverse portfolio of clients, including private developers, public sector clients, and landowners.
  • Prepare, write, and present detailed planning reports and appeals.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including local authorities, community groups, and other professionals, to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Mentor and guide junior planners, providing support and training to aid their professional development.
  • Stay abreast of planning legislation and industry trends to provide up-to-date advice and strategies.

Key Requirements:

  • RTPI (Royal Town Planning Institute) membership (or working towards it).
  • Proven experience in planning, with at least 5 years in a planning consultancy or local authority.
  • Strong technical knowledge of planning law and policy, particularly in the Hampshire region.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams and present confidently to clients and stakeholders.
  • A proactive, client-focused approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • A degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related field.
