Our client, a prominent player in the manufacturing sector, is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a Permanent basis. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of machinery, plant, and equipment within the food and drink industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor work activities to ensure control standards are continually met and maintained
  • Ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) are written and up to date
  • Conduct regular maintenance inspections of machinery, plant, and freezer equipment
  • Perform relevant repairs and improvements on machinery and suggest better practices
  • Maintain reporting schedules for testing equipment
  • Service machinery and keep accurate maintenance records
  • Develop new equipment and re-develop existing equipment to improve processes and capacity
  • Carry out checks on automated equipment
  • Diagnose and repair equipment faults for smooth facility operations
  • Apply continuous improvement practices
  • Review equipment costs and propose cost-saving solutions
  • Continuously monitor production lines to identify and implement improvements
  • Share knowledge to develop team skills and understanding of SOPs
General Responsibilities:
  • Stay up-to-date with all existing and new company policies
  • Understand and adhere to company procedures and policies
  • Promote and uphold the company's characteristics and values
  • Encourage responsibility towards the community and environment
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, particularly within the QA/Technical department

Job Requirements:
  • Mechanical Engineering qualification
  • Maintenance experience within food manufacturing
  • Understanding of food industry standards
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday from 14:00 to 22:15
