Established for over 20 years, AR Design Studio is an award-winning, RIBA chartered architectural practice based in Winchester, Hampshire.The successfully appointed Office Assistant will support the smooth running of the studio and it’s projects, providing administrative support to the Office Manager and wider team.

This is a part time role on Thursdays and Fridays only.

Start date: Ideally December 2025/Jan 2026.

Location: Winchester, Hampshire.

Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 Pro rata dependent on current experienceHours of Work: Thursday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pmContracted Hours: 15 hours per week

Responsibilities will include, although not limited to:

- Running all the administrative functions and day-to-day activities;

- Sorting through emails, prioritising and responding to emails.

- Sourcing and ordering stationery, office supplies and equipment;

- Answering the studio telephone, taking messages and handling queries;

- General Office duties, i.e. organising events/Christmas party etc.

- Liaising with the accountants and other business partners;

- Assisting the office manager to ensure that personal matters of the MD are taken care of, i.e. property management, vehicle expenses, travel arrangements etc;

- Assisting the Office Manager with HR & Recruitment matters;

- Assisting the Office Manager with day to day finances, ie. receipts, invoices, expenses, etc

- Assisting the Office Manager with the management of the filing and office systems;

To be considered for this role you will have:Previous experience in a similar roleProfessional manner with a discrete nature and ability to maintain confidentiality at all times

Proficient English language skills are also a must, an excellent telephone manner Exceptional organisation and communication skills are a mustProactive and helpful approach to workFlexibility towards tasks, ability to manage your own time/duties and assess priorities Attention to detail Proficiency in Google Suite applications (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Drive).

IT proficiency with good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel

An aptitude for spreadsheets

Experience of Xero accountancy software would be advantageous

Advanced IT knowledge would be considered favourably
