Engineering Manager - Winchester - Up to 74,000 (DOE) - Nuclear

My client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Engineering Manager to lead their engineering team in the delivery of cutting-edge nuclear engineering projects. As a key member of the management team, you will oversee the engineering design, development, and delivery of bespoke nuclear solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven experience in leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and a track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects.

The Role:

  • To implement the engineering delivery strategy for an assigned project, communicating project status, issues or changes that could impact engineering delivery performance.
  • To manage the interfaces between the multi-discipline engineering teams.
  • To provide input into overall engineering progress, resource management and client engagement on an assigned project.
  • To identify and manage change, ensuring it is recorded and processed in accordance with the contract.
  • To provide review and reporting of technical progress on an assigned project, both internally and to external stakeholders
  • To assess the technical output of the project's suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure cost effective, on time and fit for purpose output.
  • To provide technical and line management of the engineering team for an assigned project.
  • To assist in aspects of running and continuously improving the Engineering Function.
  • Prepared to undertake regular travel in the UK and overseas when required.

Requirements:

  • Will have an Engineering Degree (BEng, MEng, HND)
  • Must have experience with a highly regulated industry, ideally nuclear or defence.
  • Must be able to achieve SC / DV clearance
  • Must have experience leading multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Must have experience of change control and continuous improvement.
